Who's The World's Top Expert On Best Robot Vacuum And Mop?

The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a fantastic option if you're seeking a robot mop and vacuum that's middle-of-the-road. It's a great mopping capability, but it lacks some of the features that are found in its more expensive counterpart.

In tests it was able to remove pet hair and dry oats out of carpets with a medium-pile. But, unlike cheaper models, it doesn't utilize LIDAR to help you map your home.

Roomba s9+ iRobot from iRobot

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the most highly-rated robot vacuums. It has a lot of features and incredible cleaning power, including a dirt compartment that is built into the base of charging. This robot can learn your habits for cleaning and suggest automatic schedules to give you an effortless cleaning experience.

The setup process is simple thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the process. Once the system is in place it can begin automated cleaning with a single button. You can select the general clean option, which prioritizes the removal of larger particles like rice and cereal. Or you can select two detailed mappings to ensure that your home is completely cleaned.

This robot vacuum is effective on floors that are unfinished and carpet with a low pile. It sucks up large items and does not lose suction as fast as other models do and can pick up pet hair with ease. It has a difficult time with high-pile or plush carpet, but iRobot claims it will get better with future models.

The S9+ is a new design by iRobot that is focused on improving edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted D-shaped design, which will allow it to hug walls and furniture. It's a nice improvement over the traditional hockey puck shape of robovacs, but we found it to be only incrementally better than circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also comes with an advanced filtration system which blocks microscopic particles and allergens recirculating within your home. It's a nice claim but we're not convinced it's enough to justify the high price tag.

Its smart navigation system uses sensors to remember the structure of your home, and vSLAM to map the interior. This allows it to steer clear of obstacles like stairs and other barriers, and to clean up your entire house efficiently possible. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and create virtual boundary markers so that the robot knows which areas need extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a robot that combines mopping and vacuuming. Its vacuum settings are as effective as those found on higher-end models. And its mopping system is superior - its spinning pads scrub floors better than an ordinary pad that vibrates.

The only downside is that it lacks an additional rubber brush for deeper cleaning, but that's a small cost to pay for if you want one of the best robots available. The robo-vac's tank for dust is larger than many of its competitors and takes only two or three cycles to fill it, even with the highest dirt level.

As for the mopping system, I was impressed by its ability to scrub hard dirt off my floors. The two mopping settings that it has, which are less powerful than high-powered ones, create minimal noise, meaning you can work or even watch TV without being distracted. If it comes across an object, such as a wall or piece of furniture it gently smacks into it and then moves along.

What really distinguishes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to run nearly autonomously with very little need for user intervention. The robo-vac has a multifunction dock that can automatically transfer physical garbage into the bin hidden from view and washes and dry the mop pads and refills its clean water tank. The app will only notify you if something is wrong, such as the water tank being empty or a cancelled vacuuming session due to a full bin.

You can also create and combine actual rooms to customize the way that Q Revo treats your abode. This feature is beneficial when you have different flooring in different areas of your house or when you have to frequently clear out clutter such as toys, clothes and books. The robo-vac is also very efficient and was one of the top performers in my tests, picking up debris from both carpets and hardwoods in its first run. It is able to even vacuum up wet spills, though I recommend cleaning them off with a cloth before sending the robot in.

This model is more efficient than the X1 because it charges more quickly and can clean up 1,500 square feet in one charge. It also has a bigger and more robust dust bin that can hold more debris. This makes it easier to empty.

The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant and an app that works even when you're at home. It also has a smart routing feature that lets it clean specific rooms or areas of your home instead of following a set path.

The Omni X2 Omni has the best mopping performance of any robot we've tested due to its rotating mop pads that scrub away tough stains and a motor that creates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming capabilities are excellent as well and it enhances suction when it senses carpet to ensure it does a thorough job.
